Abstract
Background.
MtF Transgenders have psychosocial burden because they still can’t be accepted by people and cultures. That issue causes MtF Transgender to have higher risk to suffer from perceived discrimination that may create mental and emotional disorders.

Objective.
This study aims to examine and discover empirical evidence on the relationship between perceived discrimination and psychopathology of MtF transgender in Sanggar SWARA Jakarta.

Methods.
This study utilizes cross-sectional statistics method to examine 107 MtF Transgender in Sanggar SWARA Jakarta through demographic, perceived discrimination and Symptom Check List 90 (SCL-90). Obtained data were analyzed with univariate and bivariate analysis method.

Results.
Demographic results revealed from 105 MtF Transgender of 5 regions of Jakarta with range of age 25 - 31 years, 25.7% are Javanese, 52.4% with High School education, 64.8% are working and 69.5% are under low economic status. Observation results revealed 61.9% MtF Transgender with high level of perceived discrimination and 58.1% positive psychopathology, namely 47.8% interpersonal sensitivity, 46.7% obsessive compulsive, and 45.7% somatization. The Chi-square test reavealed a strong relationship (p<0.05) within perceived discrimination and psychopathology of transgender MtF in Sanggar SWARA Jakarta.

Conclusion.
The results revealed that MtF Transgenders in Sanggar SWARA Jakarta with high perceived discrimination have high risk in developing positive psychopathology.
