Abstract
Handling special children is crucial. Nowadays, Indonesian Government released policy to take care of special children in special and inclusive school. The different program of every inclusive school need further research. There are abundance of dissappoinment from students, parents, teachers, and stakeholders of inclusive school. Whereas good inclusive program will cause positive school climate, and can result the better achievement for students. This research focused on effect of inclusive program to perception of school climate. The subjects are 93 regular students, 5 special students (autism, mild mental retardation, and ADHD), 5 parents, 4 shadow teachers, dan 3 regular teachers. The Perception of School Climate Scale (r alpha = 0.754) and interview are applied. The result shows that all special and regular children have moderate level on perception of school climate in satisfaction, teacher, achievement, opportunity to achieve success, and identity dimensions (X tot = 1.87); 75 % reveals that school is fun. Regular students feel comfort while mixing with the specials’ in similar classroom. But parents, shadow teachers, and regular teachers have not revealed enough satisfaction level. For the teachers, lack of information and training regarding special need education make certain difficulties handling of special students. Parents feel disappointment of untrained shadow and regular teachers. The minimum coordination among shadow teachers, parents, and regular teachers is big problem. It shows important to have good school’s program management. Lack of assesment cause barrier. There is parents’ worrines because the Junior High School level is not ready to accept special students.
