School climate plays important role in education. Positive school climate will develop optimal learning, prevent bad habit, and contribute to student's positive mental development. The aim of this research is describing the character educational method in X Elementary School, the religious based school that has been applying inclusive method and perception of school climate of the 5th and 6th grade students. The method of this research is classroom's and school's observation; interviewing with teachers, students, and parents; and self-report inventory to measure perception of school climate of 98 students. The results are: character education implemented by habituation method can contribute positive effect. It still needs more evaluation and good written recording. Also teachers and peers are the most important factor to create the positive school climate. |
