Abstract
Curriculum as a plan provision of learning materials in each unit of education has an important role because it will affect the school climate and student's behavior. In SMP X there are two courses of curriculum; Regular Curriculum and National Plus Curriculum. Each curriculum has an equivalent material density, but differences in their implementation. To achieve successful learning, students need toughness, the ability to survive and face the difficulties. The purpose of this study was to determine differences of toughness between 11th Grade students (N = 84) who underwent Regular Curriculum and National Plus Curriculum in SMP X. Research carried out quantitatively using the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) Quick Take™ (Stoltz, 2000). Observation of classroom activities and interviews at three subjects used as additional data. Obtained from the mean difference testing no significant difference of toughness between Regular Curriculum and National Plus Curriculum students.
