Abstract
In this modern era, food and drug industry grows rapidly. The growth of the food and drug industry has a technology in the process of making the product named spray drying (the drying process by forming powder particle). This technology is aimed to have product which has the characteristic of powder. In industrial field, especially in powdered milk industry, there are some requirements that should be fulfilled in the process of drying. One of them is conditioning the air which will enter the process of powdered milk making. There is Dehumidifier 58000 machine in PT Frisian Flag Indonesia. This machine is used to set the condition of the air that will enter the process of powdered milk making with spray drying method. Regeneration Unit is one of the vital parts in Dehumidifier 58000. This part is used to regenerate the rolling Dessicant Wheel. The regeneration medium is the hot air from ambient air. In Regeneration Unit Dehumidifier 58000, there is heat exchanger which is flowed by steam fluid so heat movement between steam heat exchanger and the air coming into the regeneration unit exists. This final assignment discusses about heatloss happened between steam heat exchanger and air fluid regeneration unit. The research was conducted in 20 days in varied weather. Based on the research and evaluation, the value of the heatloss happened in regeneration unit and the efficiency of regeneration unit dehumidifier 58000 at steady and unsteady condition was able to be counted.
