Abstract
Background:
Hypertension is one of an non communicable disease that has become a-worldwide-significant problem. Hypertension rarely indicates the manifestation of it in the early stadium, so it is always called as “Sillent Killer”. The sociodemografic factors, lifestyles, health statue, and the family history can excess the risk factors of hypertension.
Purpose:
To describe the prevalences of Hypertension and its determinants to the PreElderly in Sub-District Danga, Nagekeo Regency, East Nusa Tenggara

Method:
The sample of this research is Pre elderly in Danga District (n=107) that was taken by Propotional Stratified Random Sample method. This research utilises a cross sectional study which the instruments are quetionnaires, a sfigmomanometer and a Glucose strip test. The univariat, bivariat, and multivariat analyze utilises an
SPSS program version 22 to process the data with a Chi square analysis.

Result:
As many as 42,1% samples are included into hypertension group according to JNC-7 (the cystole =140 mmHg and the diastole =90 mmHg). Based on the
bivariat analysis, the results indicte that ages (p=0,016); education (p=0,041); occupations (p=0,028); salt intake (p=0,042); smoking (p=0,032); alcohol consumption (p=0,032); hypertension history in family (p=0,008); and diabetic mellitus history in family (p=0,005) have correlation to hypertension. Multivariat
analysis points out that the diabetic mellitus history in family is an influential risk factor related to hypertension.

Conculusion:
By all of the respondent, prevalence of hypertension according to the results of this research is 42,1%. The ages, education, occupations, salt intake, smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension history in family, and diabetic mellitus history in family relate to the prevalences of hypertension. Measuring blood pressure
gradually and introducing the risk factors are needed to prevent hypertension.
