This paper discusses the research done with a title " Language as the community's symbol of thinking in teenagers' novels". The usage of a proper and effective language symbolizes the thinking of the community. Language and thought have a very close relationship because language is developed from thought. The thinking in the novel can be seen when the author exposes and relates the relationship between certain incidents or situations. Consequently, the author will try to find the cause and effect of certain incidents in order to understand them. In this case, language is functioning as a medium to visualize certain thoughts. Furthermore, language speaks for its race. The style of living of a certain community has a very close relationship with the language used by that particular community. Therefore, in this paper the researcher will study how a language can act as the symbol of thinking of the Malaysian community.
