Abstract
Utilization of geothermal energy in Indonesia is not maximal. PT Pertamina Geohtermal Energy which authorized to process it still find some problems. The high uncertainty of the oil and gas business makes the sustainability of drilling activities uncertain. Activities may cease if the drilling material is damaged, the drilling material is not available or due to other natural factors, the drilling material that should be used but can not be like this is called waste. If this happens, PGE makes a loan to another area or make a new purchase. Loans or purchases like this are wasteful because the costs incurred are much greater. One of the best ways to overcome this is to conduct safety stock planning for every purchase of goods. PGE determines the safety stock value based on experience, making it less accurate. Therefore, the researcher tried to give the best safety stock proposal and the reason is strong. The research used forecasting method, monte carlo simulation, and inventory continuous review system. This study will compare the amount of waste material between forecasting and simulation. This study was conducted for 3 years divided into 12 periods. Determination seen from the smallest total cost of inventory. The result is the amount of waste material from the forecasting method with a stock value of 30%. The total cost generated is Rp 68.917.953.109.031 for 3 years to come. In addition, inventory planning such as the optimum q value of 0,4, order return time of 0,003, and order frequency of
378 indicates strict supervision of material needed every day.
