Abstract
PT. Rackindo Setara Perkasa is a furniture manufacturing company that has been established for more than 20 years. In carrying out its production, PT. Rackindo Setara Perkasa requires a flow of actual and accurate material availability information so that the production process can run properly. In fact inventory information system applied at PT. Rackindo Setara Perkasa still using manual information system that require a lot of processing time and high accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to design a computerized inventory information system.
System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method is used to design inventory information system . By using this method, the system will always be updated and customized based on the company's needs. One of the stages of the system development method is to identify the system problems and find out the company's needs using the PIECES matrix. The PIECES matrix classifies problems into 5 categories of system problems: performance, information, economic, control, efficiecy and service. Then designed the program inventory information system proposal using visual basic .
The application of inventory information system make the entire inventory activities can be done directly on the system.The system can make a master supplier, master material, master employees, a purchase order letter, confirmation purchase order, check the availability of materials, confirm the delivery of raw materials and component materials, make additional material requests, confirm the delivery of additional raw materials / component to the production floor and make the product form.
