This research discusses the proposed implementation of lean manufacturing system. The case study was conducted at PT. Air Tech Inti Karawaci, which is a manufacturing company engaged in the refrigeration industry, which produces various types of products such as refrigerators, refrigeration rooms and cooling machines. The production system used by the company is still using the push system, and still found a lot of waste that occurred on the production floor. This results in a buildup of wip, and often overloads of raw materials and auxiliary materials, as well as messy and irregular work areas. Based on the current production system description, the company is still in the category of unlean, because the value of Process Cycle Efficiency of the company is currently below 30% that is only 9.27%. For the Overall Equipment Effectiveness value of 86.84% with the value of availability, performance, and quality of 87.5%, 100%, and 99.25%. There are 9 workstations and 20 workers available in the current production area with a lead time of 60 days. According to the identification causes of wastethere will be some proposed suggestions to eliminate the waste. Some reccomendations such as, the design of 5S, line balancing, kanban, and the draft of work standardization. After describing the production system with the proposed condition, there is an increase of company performance with the value of Process Cycle Efficiency which increased to 18.5% . and the Overall Equipment Effectiveness by 93%, with the availability, performance, and quality of 93.75%, 100%, and 99.25 %. There is a decrease in the number of work stations into 5 workstations and 17 workers, with lead time being 30 days. |
