Motivation can change during work life as a result of interaction with personal experience, leader, co-worker, and environment condition of work place. This research is focused on work motivation of 121 elementary private school teachers in Jakarta. The study of research object as determinant factors consist of commitment toward school, perception on leadership behavior, and condition of work place. Those variables are measured with rating scale and attitude scale, with reliability above 0.90 on each scale. The result shows positive and significant correlations from three determinant factors on work motivation, either bivariate or multiple correlation. Follow up of the research to the school principal is to maintain the role model as a leader because leadership is highly important as important determinant factor in improving teacher’s work motivation.
