DIC Astra Chemicals was a company that engaged in the field of dye material for plastic, textile, paint and plywood products. The company encountered obstacle in the form of lacking raw material which was caused by problem related to the record of raw material usage, forecasting with the average method, the high order fluctuation, as well as the supplier capacity in fulfilling order. The lack of raw material caused production process stoppage and belated delivery of product to the consumer. 5W analysis was applied in order to know the root problem related to the raw material usage record. The planning of raw material by applying the Material Requirement Planning method could be the solution for PT. DIC Astra Chemicals in solving the raw material shortage. Material Requirement Planning was supported by the Monte Carlo Simulation and Availability System. The Mote Carlo Simulation was required to know the amount of demand in upcoming period. Availability System was required to know the amount and exact time for ordering raw material. The inconsistency was the root problem of raw material record. Monte Carlo Simulation was done to the Plamaster product with the result of Old Product Category in 72.067%, New Product Category in 0.01% and Continue Product Category in 27.92%. The Availability System which corresponded to the raw material condition was Q Availability System. Material Requirement Planning method gave the information of when and how much the amount of required order that must be done corresponding to the demand were.
