Abstract
The main purpose of the organization within the company is performance. Good performance will have an impact on the profits or profits earned by the company. PT. X is one of the automotive industry companies in Indonesia based manufacturing. The company produces four-wheeled vehicles (R4) and two-wheeled vehicles (R2). Researchers observe the production employees of R4 Painting Division, PT. X, Bekasi, located on Jl. Diponegoro KM. 38.2 Tambun West Java, Indonesia. There is a problem associated with the employee's performance experienced by the company, ie not achieving the target level of employee productivity that has been established company when compared with the actual. This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and leadership style to work discipline which implies on employee performance as well as provide a proposal strategy for the company in an effort to improve employee productivity. Primary data collection in this research is by distributing questionnaires and data processing using LISREL 8.70 software with SEM method. In this research is not used sampling technique because the sample under study is the whole of the existing population or called the census. The number of samples used in this study corresponds to the recommended sample size for the use of a maximum likelihood estimate of 242 respondents. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the work motivation, leadership style and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Work discipline has the greatest effect on employee performance. So it can be suggested, proposed strategy for the company in an effort to improve the productivity of employees of Production Division Painting R4, PT. X, Bekasi is by improving work discipline.
