Pailkem is one of kind of classroom that can be used by teacher in the implementation of learning that could activate student, have all the learning activities, and different learning mood that is learning by using the environment as a learning resource in learning activities and make students become more creative and innovative so that learning becomes effective and attractive. Activation of the activity of learning is an activity designed to enable students to follow the implementation of learning is achieved through the activities of visual, verbal, listening, writing, motor, mental, and emotional. While learning social studies are taught a variety of social science to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of students in making decisions in life and interact within a community in which students live. Topic materials used are ethnic and cultural diversity in Indonesia. Through these materials students can recognize and know that Indonesia has the Tribe and diverse culture. The research subject 5th graders who numbered 38 students and researchers who act as teachers. Held at SDN Dukuh 01 Jakarta. In this classroom action research, the researchers designed two learning cycle consists of four steps, namely; planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Researchers designed two cycles because of learning material in the first cycle of Racial Diversity in Indonesia and the second cycle of Cultural Diversity in Indonesia. Implementation PAILKEM through observation, can be seen in the implementation of learning using a variety of learning activities to enable the students. In the application of the results of observations obtained PAILKEM learning implementation in the form of a description of words. While the results of the observation of learning activities, the data obtained in the form of numbers and presented in tables and graphs. Implementation PAILKEM can use a variety of methods and learning resources are diverse. The result of the application PAILKEM of the second cycle of active learning supports students who are passive, and give students the opportunity to create innovative sourced on student life so that the learning environment more attractive, effective, and useful for students. And can also make a variety of learning activities more interesting and fun, so that students are enthusiastic and active. In the first cycle, the students were shy and less daring. In the second cycle, the students had dared in debriefing/ question and answer activities and perform in front of the class. In the first cycle of learning activities, which obtained the highest score on the verbal activity score of 2.61 and the lowest at 2.29 emotional activities. For more activity score is pretty good. The second cycle, which gained the highest average score at 3.58 of listening and the lowest average score on the verbal 3.00 activities and other activities are already showing progress. PAILKEM application of research results are in accordance with the RPP and can improve students' learning activities. Based on these results, it is expected and encouraged to apply PAILKEM primary school teachers to improve student learning activities. For elementary school principals are expected to give teachers the training about PAILKEM with the aim of showing the activity of an optimal learning. |
