A pilot study using de Bono's CoRT-1 Thinking Skills program with four grade-ten science classes produced significant learning of thinking skills. These thinking skills also appeared to generalize to the science content areas. These results highlight the potential benefits of the focused teaching of thinking in secondary schools.
