Emotional intelligence is of great necessity at the workplace since employees who can manage their emotions well can build good relations and achieve success at work. Good relations with colleagues and supervisors are factors contributing to employees’ work commitment. The objective of this study is to discover employees’ emotional intelligence and work commitment and the correlation between both aspects. The subjects of the study were 31 employees of the F&B Product Department of Hotel Santika Premiere Jakarta. The data collection was done with a rating scale. The findings of this study indicated that most of the employees possess a medium level emotional intelligence and that most of them have a medium and high level work commitment. This study also indicates a significant correlation between the employees’ emotional intelligence and work commitment.
