Isi artikelEmotional intelligence is an individual’s ability to manage his/her emotions, both intrapersonally and interpersonally. Students’ emotional intelligence needs to be nurtured so that they can manage their emotional expressions in a balanced manner. Early cultivation of emotional intelligence will help students to be able to accept themselves positively. This study aims to investigate the correlation between emotional intelligence and students’ self-acceptance. The subjects of this study were 146 Year 8 students of SMPN 250, South Jakarta. The rating scale was employed for data collection. The results of the study showed a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and students’ self-acceptance.
