Isi artikelThe advantages of using the VCR in the clinical supervision are numerous. Employing the VCR in the various steps of the clinical supervision model: (1) minimizes the potential for observer subjectivity since the supervisor and teacher need not be dependent on their memory during the conferencing cycle; (2) provides a permanent record which can be played at supervisor and teacher convenience; (3) captures two crucial dimensions of the teaching/learning act for analysis-verbal and nonverbal communications; and (4) provides a common frame of reference or focus (actual behavior) for the supervisior an teacher as opposed to relying on written or recall information provided by the supervisor.
