Isi artikelThis artyicle describes the planning process for an interactive videodisc in motor skills assessment and, more specifically, the formulation of a documentd template to guide project managers and instructional technologists through the maze of organizational tasks involved in similiar productions. Beyond presenting yet another application example, the authors intentions are (1) to provide resources of design activities which seem so often to be taken on faith, and (2) to reiterate some of those resources which, for us, were particularly thought-provoking in relationship to our particular task. As Parkhurst and Dwyer (1983) state, "{i}i is readily held that most decisions concerning the design and structure of instructional software are made on the basis of intuition, feelings, past sucesses, or on ssome other visceral basis" (p.10). Our hope is that by providing a start-to-finish project scheme based on literature largerely from this magazine and two primary sources, we may give some grounding for instructional software product that reflect on our entire field.
