The article considers one way to construct "analityc"narratives in historical sociology. The author grounds is approach in angoing methodological debates over temporality and squence in historical processes and the assumed trade-off between historical particularity and casual generality. He promotes narratives that exploit both the squential/ eventful ad contextual properties of analytic time, with an approach that combines and build on two emerging developments in narrative methodology.
