It has been done a study on the anthelmintics effects of extract water of Ketepang Cina leaves (Cassia alata, L) on intestine worms of vegetables using mice as the guinea pig. There are three kinds of vegetables that are usually eaten uncooked, that is, cabbage, basil, and letuce. Parasitology test shows thst these vegetables positinely contain intestine worms larvas. The most larvas found on these vegetables is Ascaris Lumbricoides. Extrach water of Ketepang Cina leaves has been tested using three concentration of 60%, 80%, and 100%, respectively, as compared to control group using 5% pyrantel pamoat suspension. Thes result shows that the extract water give anthelmintics effects by decreasing the number Ascaris lumbricoides per gram of feaces and the number of Ascaris lumbricoides worm left one week after given treatment but the therapeutic ability is lower than pyrantel pamoat suspension.
