Ports are a haven of ships that serve the need to transport passengers, goods and animals, and other activities. The port's performance itself determined by the service time while the vessel layover the port. As one of the biggest port in Indonesia, Tanjung Priok Port actively implement variety of ways to improve the port's performance. One of the conventional commodities served by the port experiencing the most rapid growth over the last few years is Container. The problem of container stevedoring process is the length of time idle time caused by various factors. Idle time is the number of inefficient working hours, that is wasted during loading and unloading process, that does not include break-time expressed in hours. Container Operational terminal in the Tanjung Priok port is composed of four outlined process that are gate in, yard operations, berth operation, and the gate out. Blueprint is created to describe clearly the process of stevedoring and identify points of failure at each stage of the process, that might causing idle point. Based on the blueprint service, it can be indentified that there are 17 points of failure, grouped into six variables that contribute to the idle time: head truck, the system computerization, operators, stevedoring workers, weather and equipment trouble. From regression analysis, it showed that there are five factors that affect idle time significantly, for instance, the head truck, computerized systems, operators, stevedoring workers, equipment trouble. With the following regression models to describe prediction idle time loading and unloading process Idle Time = 0.374 + 0.804 X1 (Head truck) + 1.069 X2 (Computerized System) + 1.754 X4 (TKBM) + 1,045 X5 (Equipment trouble) + 2.157 X6 (Operator) |
