Abstract
Nowadays, almost everyone have tables and chairs. Table is one of furniture used to placed things such as foods, or stuffs with specific height. According to its type and function, tables commonly are paired with chairs that is used for seats. In this time being, tables and chairs are provided with various shapes, heights and materials for developing its design, style, functions and uses. Table and chair for living room is one of the kinds of tables and chairs, which in this time being still have many lackings in everywhere. Therefore, this research will develop the product of chair and table that can solve problems of chair and table. This research is using Algorithm of Inventive Problem Solving Method (ARIZ). This method analyses relationship between components. The analyses will be resulted in technical contradiction problem and physical contradiction problem. The solution concept will be formulated by implementing contradiction matrix, to find a solution concept that can be used to develop products. Thus, 3 alternative concepts will be derived. The chosen concept is the concept 2 of table and chair, which is table and chair that can be also used as decorating ornaments or painting when out of use. Thus, it can provide wider room and space. The chosen concept is tested by the load given by solidworks software of 100 kilograms, an using RWL calculatin to find out whether table lifting and lowering activity can risk to human body injury.
