Introduction : Miscarriage is one of pregnancy complication which can lead to pregnancy termination. In Atma Jaya Hospital on January – June 2015, there are 108 cases of miscarriage of all obstetric and gynecology patients. The aim of this study is to obtain the statistics or description of sociodemographic and maternal or paternal risk factors on miscarriage patients. Methods : This study was conducted in 2016 using cross-sectional design. Samples of this study (n=53) were all patients in Atma Jaya Hospital from March 2016 – August 2016 with the diagnosis of miscarriage. The data was collected primarily and secondarily. Result : Some factors are shown to be significant in this study, which are 19 respondents (35,8%) are within young age of 18-23 years old, 26 respondents (49,1%) has occupation as housewife, 22 respondents (41,6%) has a monthly expenditure of Rp 700.000 – Rp 1.700.000, respondents with a history of pregnancy are 36 respondents (67,9%), respondents with a history of unprotected sex are 46 respondents (86,8%), there are 44 respondents’ husbands (82,9%) who smokes. Conclusion :Statistically there are some significant factors on miscarriage patiens. From sociodemographic there are young age, occupation, and economic status, from maternal risk factor there are history of pregnancy, history of unprotected or protected sex, and from paternal risk factor there is history of smoking. |
