Abstract
Background : Mental disorder is a condition of mental health marked by change in mind, feeling, and behaviour that has association with distress and disfunction. Average prevalance rate of depressive disorder and anxiety disorder in general population about 34%. Middle age population, especially medical student group, have high prevalence rate of depressive disorder and anxiety disorder. This is caused by over amount of workload that leads to stress. Frequency and interval of learning methods include as contributor of stress that can increase the chance of depressive disorder and anxiety disorder.
Objective : This study aim to examine the association between learning methods and depressive disorder or anxiety disorder that focusing on frequency and interval
Methods : This is a cross sectional study conducted on preclinical student of Atma Jaya Faculty of Medicine in year 2015/2016. The frequency and interval of learning
methods aquired by self constructed questionnare and the depressive disorder and anxiety disorder aquired by MINI ICD 10 questionnare.
Results : The result of this study show that there is no association between frequency of PBL and interval of SL, neither to depressive disorder nor anxiety disorder among preclinical student of Atma Jaya Faculty of Medicine year 2015/2016 (p>0,05).
Conclusions : This study show that there is no asscotiation between frequency of PBL and interval of SL, neither to depressive disorder, nor to anxiety disorder among preclinical student of Atma Jaya Faculty of Medicine year 2015/2016.
