Most young adults, particularly college students, do not have enough night sleep duration. This condition can establish inflammatory process that induce acne vulgaris. The aim of this study is to prove whether there is a relation between night sleep duration and acne vulgaris severity. Methods : This study was conducted in 2016 using cross-sectional design. Samples of this study (n=518) were active students in Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, School of Medicine who enrolled at year 2013, 2014, and 2015. The duration of night time sleep was determined by category of night sleep duration. The severity of acne vulgaris was determined using Global Acne Grading System (GAGS). The data was collected primarily and analyzed using spearman correlation test with significance level of p<0,05. Result : 465 respondents (89,8%) didn’t have enough night sleep duration. The prevalence of acne vulgaris was 100% with 446 respondents (86,1%) had mild severity. There was no correlation between night sleep duration and acne vulgaris severity (p=0,419).
