Abstract
Tuberculosis is the second most infectious disease which causes fatalities in the world and its prevalence in Indonesia is the 4th largest in global. Despite the decrease of mortalities among TB patient, there has been an increase of MDR TB. Indisciplinary among TB patient might be one of the cause of increasing MDR-TB. Treatment adherence in advanced phase is an important thing to do to achieve treatment success, increase the cure rate and reduce resistance to antibiotics. Factors that affect obedience among TB patient include demographic, socioeconomic, education level, knowledge, access, family and caregiver suppors, regimen complexity, and side effects of anti-TB drugs. The aim of this research is to explore whether the factors above affect patient’s adherence to TB treatment. In this research, we use cross sectional on 51 TB patients without any accompanying disease in Puskesmas Kecamatan Pademangan. The data are analyzed with Chi Square test which result in factors including age, family and caregiver suppport, education level, knowledge, access, and regimen complexity affect tuberculosis treatment adherence. In contrast, factors such as gender, socioeconomic and side effects of anti tuberculosis treatment do not affect tuberculosis treatment adherence
