In this article, I test the poverty line and the head count index trends by using the graphical approach. I use the poverty concept by the World Bank, the data of the Indonesia statistical Bureau, and some other information sources. Results show that if the income per capita is increased the poverty line is increased too, and so is the area of the head count index. All of those findings indicate that the poverty line and the area of head count index are unstable. Both of them changed as the change of the community income percapita any time, So the concept and formulation of the poverty line and the haed count index still puzled us until now.
