Repairing fishing gear is carried out to maximalize catch. This research has aimed: (1) to evaluate, and to exam the effectivity of trap to develop (2) to know the disadvantages and then repair or modificate it (4) to know the differences of standard trap and modification trap on catch of prawns. The result showed that part of trap generally were: Leader, Frame, Mouth, Bamboo sticks, Plait of rattan, Place of bait.Modification trap has advantage that was prawns and fish were difficulty to escape. But still has disadvantages, which is panel that used was sticks of coconut leaves that was not elastic material and makes the prawns which want to come in felt barried and it didn't want to enter if the feeler and rostrum got to the sticks. It caused the big one had any difficulties to enter. Based to this, standard trap and modification trap didn't have any significant differences on catch qf prawns either by catch.
