The past two months have seen two changes to counterterrorism efforts in Indonesia. First in August, President Yudhoyono issued a presidential decree establishing the new National Anti-Terrorism Agency (BNPT). Then in mid-September, the National Police was restructured and Detachment 88 was taken from under the Detectives Unit and moved directly under the National Police Chief.
