The Executive Network (TEN) brought together three experts to discuss the details of Indonesia's new mining policy and how it is shaping up. The panelists were asked to explain the law's key features; whether they thought it was an improvement on previous policy; its expected impact on the mining sector; and their views on the major deficiencies in the law. The speakers included: Bambang Setiawan, Directorate General of Mineral, Coal & Geothermal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources; Bill Sullivan, Senior Foreign Advocate at Christian Teo & Associates; and Michael Carl, Advisor at Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono (SSEK).
