Workshop Al Partnership is a place that is used to make furniture with the wood as raw material. There are three core activities to make furniture in this workshop, the wood cutting activity, assembly activity, installation and cutting HPL activity. All of activities are still operation by human, even though they had to use the machine, but the work is not automated.Hazard identification simple tool shows that the daily activities workers have occupational risks. But to know the risk factors and parts of the body exposed by the risk of work needs to be done more in-depth assessment. Assessment used two complementary methods, manual task risk assessment method and rodgers fatigue analysis method. The results of an assessment of the workers showed that part of the body most often receive occupational risks when making furniture are neck, back, arms, and shoulders. An activity that has a higher occupational risks than other activities which assembly activity. This can happen because workers perform dangerous position when performing assembly activities. Proposed improvements that may be applied include changing workplace assembly activity, which had been on the floor to on the table, then told workers working postures which are not harmful, and applying a short break when workers perform activities. |
