People who have had leprosy get negative responds from the society as the consequences of disability that they have. If there is a specific location in which is inhabited by fellow people who have had leprosy, it can be assumed that they will get a good contribution in order to estabilished their the concept. The aim of this study is to explore how the views of people who have had leprosy them while living in settlements whose inhabitants are among those who have had leprosy. This is a qualitative research by using a life history design, involving four persons who have had leprosy as research subjects. The data collection method was taken by interview, then the data of each subject has been obtained is processed by the researcher. After that, the researchers conducted an analysis of the subject. The results of this study are, living in the village of Leprosy Sitanala gives positive impact on the formation of self-concept subject. But this is easily affected by the responds of a different social environments. The stability of the self-concept of people who have had leprosy is affected by their self-awareness and self-perception. |
