Cipta Krida Bahari uses 11 units fleet with different capacities, 5 of them are rental fleet. PT. CKB has a travel route of each fleet will send regular consumer demand in the Jabodetabek area. However, the current determination of the travel route is based on the assumption that the driver’s experience is a shortest distance. When a delivery request can not be accommodated by company’s fleet, PT. CKB will use a rental fleet to transport customers orders. This study was conducted to determine whether the transportation activity of the regular consumer goods that is done by PT. CKB has been able to optimize the owned fleet, resulting in time and cost efficiency in the operations management, and eventually were able to minimize their transport costs. The transportation costs are affected by the determination of the fleet used, scheduling customer service, and the determination of the route. PT CKB has determined the allocation of each of its fleet to a particular region. Furthermore, the operational activities of the fleet used was submitted to the customs that have been carried out. In an effort to increase performance, the company felt the need to review the management of transportation costs for delivery making consumer goods. To minimize transportation costs, we proposed three alternative refinement. The first alternative uses its own fleet, the second alternative using a combination of the use of its own fleet and vehicle rental and a third alternative is fully using rental vehicles. Whereas, the determination of the routes of travel uses the saving matrix method. This study resulted the best route determination and alternative based on minimum transportation costs. Transportation cost calculation shows that the first alternative selected. While the second and third alternative alternative transport costs generating 19% and 1.52% higher when compared with the first alternative.
