Acute abdomen surgery is frequently happen because of acute appendicitis. The patient who suffers from this disease must have an immediate diagnosed and treated with an appropriate treatment to avoid perforation. Appendix perforation could increase mortality rate of the patient. One of the sign of perforation is the increase of leukocyte count which could potentially be a cut-off point to differentiate acute and perforation appendicitis. In order to determine this point, the relation between these diseases and sign will be further researched. Goal. The aim of the research is to determine the relation of leukocyte count with the incidence of acute and perforation appendicitis. Method. Research is held in retrospective and using medical records of the patient who are operated in Atma Jaya Hospital during January 2013 – December 2014 by analitic descriptive technique. Result. There is a weak relation between the leukocyte count with acute and perforation appendicitis incident, leukocyte count cut-off point is 12000/mm3 with 76.3% sensitivity and 60.9% specificity, and 5.0 odd ratio value. Conclusion. There is relation between leukocyte count with the incidence of acute and perforation appendicitis. Suggestion. Prospective technique will minimize the bias and improve data quality.
