The aviation sector in Indonesia has a rapid development in recent years. According to data released by Statistics Indonesia, by 2013 the number of passengers using air transport services in Indonesia equals to 68,5 million passengers. Whereas in 2014 the number of passengers increased by 5,6 percent to 72,6 million passengers. According to data released by Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the frequency of flights in Indonesia grew 10% annually. The high number of passengers growth and flight frequency growth is not accompanied by an adequate level of safety. According to data released by National Transportation Safety Committee, in 2007 to 2013 a series of accidents occurred on national aviation. To perform an integrated surveillance for safety performance of airlines , we need a method that can evaluate the safety performance of airlines. MCDM is one of the tools that can be used to measure the level of aviation safety. This research will combine and integrate DEMATEL and ANP methods. DEMATEL method is able to identify the interdependence relationship from ANP method. ANP method is used to assess and analyze the safety performance from some airlines that compared each other. The software used to process the data in this research is SuperDecision. The final results from this research is a ranking of the airline with the highest level of safety to the lowest one based on priority weight conducted from ANP method. Then researcher propose improvements suggestions on the weakness aspects for each airline. The research showed that airline with the highest level of safety is Garuda Indonesia, followed by Lion Air in 2nd, Citilink in 3rd, Air Asia in 4th, and Sriwijaya Air in 5th. |
