Isi artikelThe study is aimed at examining the effectiveness of the test preparation class for the national examination in senior secondary schools. It is viewed from the student and teacher participatory rate, the length of time used, the plan and action, the learning materials and the tasks given in the test preparation class both individually and simultaneously. Linear and multiple-regression equation are used to analyze the data obtained from a questionnaire to see the contribution of the five variables to the effectiveness of the test preparation class for the national examination either individually or simultaneously. The analysis result reveals that there is a positive contribution from all independent variables individually and collectively. The greatest contribution is from the student and teacher participatory rate and the smallest is from the learning materials. Therefore, the most effective way to improve the effectiveness of the test preparation class in secondary schools is by improving the student and teacher participatory rate. Overall, the test preparation class for the national examination in secondary schools is proved to be very effective by this survey.
