Background : Adolescence is a period of finding identity to get social acceptance from community. WHO defines adolescent as an individual of 10-19 years old, with total population around 45 million in Indonesia. In adolescence occurs maturing of reproductive organs which is widely known as puberty. This result in a shift of attitude and behaviors such as attraction to the opposite gender, followed by affection, sexual desire and sexual relationship before marriage. Methods : This research used analytic studies with a cross sectional approach among 14 – 16 years old students on a private high school in West Jakarta. Respondents were given questionnaires about knowledge, attitude and behavior regarding reproductive health. The focus of the study are about puberty, sexual relationship and HIV/AIDS. Result : From 70 respondents, 58,6% students have a good knowledge, 55.7% have positive attitude and 52,9% have a positive behavior about reproductive health. Chisquare analysis results show a significant relation between attitude and behavior towards reproductive health (p<,001), while there is no relation between knowledge and behavior towards reproductive health. Conclusion :Students on a private high school in West Jakarta have good knowledge, attitude and behavior regarding reproductive health. Suggestion to the school is to give a regular reproductive health lesson in school every year to get a better results in knowledge, attitude and behavior. |
