Attention span have profound effect on students’ academic achievement . There are many factors that can affect attention span, for example hemoglobin level. Hemoglobin’s function is to transported oxygen to the whole body including brain. Brain needs oxygen for aerob metabolism., Decreased oxygen transport to the brain can cause decreased attention span. Low hemoglobin level, for example in people with anemia can cause brain’s oxygen supply decreased. Objectives. The aim of this research is to know the correlation between Hemoglobin level and attention function on the students of the Faculty of Medicine, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia. Methodology.This research is a descriptive analytic study with cross sectional approach. Total correspondents that participate in this research are 57 people, all of their hemoglobin level will be checked with easy touch-GCHB, then they will do the stroop test immediately and the result will be noted by researcher. Results. Results of this research is the correlation between hemoglobin level and attention function is very weak, insignificant, and going in same direction. This is shown by values of Pearson correlation (r) 0,036 and values of significance 0,793. Conclusions. There is no significant correlation between hemoglobin level and attention function on students of Faculty of Medicine, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia.
