Background: Thyroid nodules constitute the most endocrine neoplasm cases in clinical practice and its management is always interesting to discuss. Recently, ultrasound procedure IS widely used as the first imaging modality to assess the thyroid nodule Objective: It is challenging to determine if a thyroid nodule is benign or malignant. Discussion: The characteristic appearance of benign nodule IS halo sign, vanable echo, multiple nodules, peripheral calcification and cystic lesion. Otherwise, the malignant one usually demonstrate hypoechoic, iII-defined I irregular border and microcalcification. Conclusslon : Combination of ultrasound procedure, history, physical findings and other examination should be a guide to find out if such thyroid nodule is benign or malignant.
