Background: Currently, cosmetics are rapidly growing. Nonetheless, the adverse effect are frequently happened. One of them is cosmetic contact dermatitis (CCD). But, the incidence of this disorder is difficult to determine and the cases are rarely reported. Objectives: To determine the profile of CCD and frequency of patch test (PT) reaction with standard and additional allergen in cosmetic allergic contact dermatitis cases in Dermato--Venereology clinic of Dr. Sardjito Hospital 2005-2006. Methods: This is a descriptive study where data is obtained from CCO and PT of the outpatient in Dermato-Venereology clinic of Dr. Sardjito Hospital 2005-2006. Result and Conclusion: There are 208 CCD cases consist of 182 (38.16%) female and 26 (5.45%) male patient. The profile of CCD are 172 (82.7%) allergic contact dermatitis, 20 (9.6%) allergic photo contact dermatitis, 9 (4.3%) irritant contact dermatitis, and 7 (3.4%) pigmented contact dermatitis. The sensitizer that mostly have positive result was fragrance mix and facial cream.
