The use of technology has been developed in many aspects of life, such as government field, commercial field, and education field. Implementation of web-based technology in education field gives many benefit in various cases. With the help from elearning, student’s learning experience can be boosted effectively. Unika Atma Jaya has implemented e-learning method which can be used by all of its student from any faculty. Courses material that distributed from e-learning are arranged by lecturer and can be accessed from any places at any time. Conventional learning method is different from e-learning method, in which the later required more discipline and initiative from student as well as good computer skill, in order to make an effective e-learning. The aim of this research was to analyze whether Atma Jaya student are ready for e-learning, based from indicator of 5 e-learning readiness dimensions, and to analyze any possible effect from students’ background like gender differences, grade differences, and faculty origin to their readiness for e-learning. Information gathered from questionnaires was processed by Confirmatory Factory Analysis to collect indicators that represent each dimension, which were used to analyze students’ readiness level for e-learning. Then, MANOVA method was used as multivariate test to check any effect from students’ background on their readiness level for e-learning. The result revealed that Atma Jaya student is ready for e-learning which showed by acceptable score on all 5 e-learning readiness dimensions. This study also found that gender and grade made no significant differences on student readiness for e-learning but faculty and combination effect of interaction between gender-grade and gender-grade-faculty did gives some differences on student readiness level for e-learning. |
