Background: High dose paracetamol consumption may cause liver's damage, indicated by increasing of SGOT, SGPT, and total bilirubin of serum concentration. Turmeric (Curcuma domestica Val.) has been medically used for liver damage. The experimental study was conducted to find out the turmeric decoction effect on SGOT, SGPT, and total bilirubin of serum concentration of high dose paracetamol-induced rats. Design and Method: Pre - posttest randomized control group design was used in this study. 24 rats were divided into 4 groups: Group I (the control group given aquadest for 7 days continued with paracetamol); Group II, III and IV (treated- group given turmeric decoction with concentration 50%, 75% and 100% respectively for 7 days continued with paracetamol). The One Way Anova was used to analyze the differences between SGOT, SGPT and total bilirubin of serum concentration and the differences between groups were analyzed by Tukey test. Result: The means differences of SGOT for the four groups were 38.66 (U/l); -12.33 (U/l); -15.5 (U/l): -39.83 (U/l), respectively. The means differences of SGPTwere 78.83 (U/l), -12.84 (U/l); 20.5 (U/l); -72.17 (U/l), respectively. The means differences of total bilirubin of serum were 1.00 (mg/dl); -0.25 (mg/dl); -0.46 (mg/dl); -0.90 (mg/dl), respectively. There was significant differences in SGOT, SGPT and total bilirubin of serum concentration among the groups (p=0.000), and there was significant differences among groups, except between group II and III which showing no significant difference. Conclusion: The turmeric decoction can decrease SGOT, SGPT and total bilirubin of serum concentration in rats and there were differences among the groups
