Abstract
The roof composite made of material GFRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic thermoset) has been circulating in indonesian markets for building a factory and warehouse in corrosive environment. The roof GFRP made of two layers 1,25 mm glass fiber C300 (chopped strand mat 300 g/m2)and a matrix polyester resin. Improving the characteristics of GFRP roof can be done with replacing one of the lamina with another namely W400 (woven roving). In this study two sample material GFRP namely CC (chopped strand mat 300 g/m2 + chopped strand mat 300 g/m2) and CW (chopped strand mat 300 g/m2 + woven roving 400 g/m2). Parameters of interest are light, surface roughness, flatness thick, force, flexibility and violence.The result of comparison mater shows that the sample material’s GFRP CW is better from sample CC.
