Abstract
Arm robot have many application in industry, one of them is to lift and move objects from one place to another. To do the job, an arm robot equipped with a gripper This book will discuss about the design of a gripper that can lift objects with different shapes without damaging the object. Universal jamming gripper will utilize the jamming properties of granular material. An omnidirectional robot will be used as a base platform for putting arm robot, so that the robot arm will also have good mobility. Game controller will also be used to provide input to control the robot. Arm robot is moved by servo motors and controlled by a microcontroller. Based on the results of design and evaluation, mechatronic system of universal jamming gripper arm robot based on microcontroller has been successfully designed to move objects without destroying it and can be controlled by using a game controller.
