Abstract
Spherical pressure vessel for LPG storage 18 bar pressurized designed with ASME Section VIII Division 2 design code. SolidWorks software is used for numerical stress analysis with finite element method for various load condition. Spherical pressure vessel design in SolidWorks software based on the original dimensions with 8,892 mm internal radius and 50 mm wall thickness. Simulations were performed using internal pressure, MAWP pressure, MAP pressure, wind force with 160 km/h wind speeds, mass of the fluid, and combination simulations with the whole of load. Results of the simulation with finite element method in SolidWorks software is von misses stress and deformation. Design of spherical pressure vessel successfully created and corresponding with the criteria of strength and stiffness. Stress that occurs in the pressure vessel does not exceed the allowable stress of material, so it can safely be concluded against the load in pressure vessel.
