| Elbow pipe, one of the products which are still use as fittings piping. Elbow pipe very helpful because of their exposure to flow fluids and also helped change of the directions. Writer used elbow pipe with a form of 900 as the research. Elbow pipe much used for fittings underground pipes in home industry or small or medium manufacturing industry. Elbow pipe cast iron is one of material produced because cast iron the most alloy steel easily applied. Because of cast iron elbow pipe using for undergrounded piping especially for ground water and various waste, erosion and corrosion resistance in the elbow pipe very doubtful. The form of elbow pipe more affected bt the collision of fluid flow also made resistance of elbow lower. In this research will use a polarization method to measure corrosion rate of elbow pipe cast iron. Research result declare that elbow pipe in use with acid fluids easy to corroded rather than elbow pipe in neutral and basa environment. |
