Cleanliness shoes is one of the factors supporting the person's appearance , but there are still many users who do not pay attention to the hygiene of shoe. Through the results of early research data, it is known that 63 % of respondents cleaning shoes only when the shoe is very dirty. Complaints about process, results, and not ergonomically are three main complaints of the respondents in the cleaning shoe. Thus, designing a tool to assist the user in cleaning shoes with better process, maximum result, and ergonomic are the problem formulation in this research. Through the data collected , it is known that there are 21 customer’s needs for shoe cleaning tool. Meanwhile , the combined concept of three and concepts 9 is the selected concept (from 9 alternative concept that was created earlier) . Prototype shoe cleaner is designed with electric concept (motor speed 171 rpm) , weight (main body) 0.365 kg , weight of tool (when used) 0.42 kg, and weight (whole set) 1.04 kg, with power source 3 AA batteries or adapter. Through the test results and assessments by the respondents , it is known that there was no significant difference in time between manual cleaning method with the cleaning methods using the tool, but the overall average attribute obtain satisfaction scale of 3.9 . While going through techno economic calculation, it is known that the total requirement of facilities = 27,945,600.00, selling price (gain 25 % of the cost of production) = Rp . 338,125 per product, BEP = 1158 units , PP = 1.1 years (PP < 5) , NPV = Rp . 1,277,764,824.55 (NPV > 0) , ROR = 85.0% (ROR > MARR) , ROI = 3,42. So overall , the establishment of the business of shoe cleaner can be declared viable techno economic. |
