Abstract
One way to improve the performance of high motor is to increase the number of holes in the injector. The use of motor gasoline injector 4 strokes now widely used on each motor replaces the use of carburetor. Research conducted in this thesis aims to determine the effect of the amount of the injector holes on the performance 4 strokes gasoline engine. Type of research is experimental research. How to completion of this study is to compare the power, torque, specific fuel consumption, exhaust emissions and flow rate on the injector. Injector used in this study is the injector 6 (standard) holes, 10 holes and 12 holes. From the test results showed that there is an increase in maximum torque at the injector 10 holes of 0,52 Nm and power increase in maximum power on the use of the injector 10 holes of 1.56 % compared to the 10 hole injector. Specific fuel consumption increased by 0,028 kg / HP.jam. With the increasing number of holes the exhaust emissions and the injector flow rate increases.
