Isi artikel
The Arabic satellite news channel, Al Jazeera, has attracted viewers, journalists and academics from all over the world, and the story of the channel’s controversial coverage of the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq has been conveyed in a number of journalistic and academic works. Instead of reiterating the Al Jazeera success story as many previous publications on the channel have done, Zayani and Sahraoui examine how unexpected and overwhelming success has shaped and challenged Al Jazeera as an organization. They ask whether Al Jazeera has managed to transform itself from an obscure Arab news channel to a well-organized multi-channel global enterprise.
